I am a 43-year-old mother of three. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University. My husband Ryan is a certified personal trainer. I have studied health for the last two decades. I love to keep up with the latest research. My husband and I started on our health journey about a decade ago. I had a strong foundation of what a healthy lifestyle was but little did I know I still had a lot to learn. A close family member of ours was diagnosed with cancer. When he was in the hospital I asked the internal medicine physician that was doing his hospital rounds what he thought caused this type of cancer since he did not have any of the known risk factors. He said that it was probably due to all of the modified foods that we consume. This is the first time that I had heard about genetically modified foods (GMOs). It wasn’t a topic that was discussed when I was in school. I started to heavily research the topic and was alarmed at what I found. As a result, we started to transition to an organic whole food diet. That combined with daily movement resulted in a steady improvement in our life. Medical conditions that we suffered from for years started to disappear for both of us. The weight started to come off and we noticed that we started getting more energy. Our bodies were naturally healing. This has been a life-changing transformation for both of us.
